Compression Socks. A Growing Trend

Compression socks used to be solely for medical treatments for people with poor circulation, varicose veins, sclerotherapy, pregnancy etc. Compression socks improve blood flow by gently squeezing your legs to move your blood. By doing this, preventing leg swelling, blood clots, varicose veins and so on. However, uses for compression socks have expanded from just medical in recent years.

Compression socks are now commonly seen on athletes, nurses, teachers and travelers. Studies have shown that wearing the compression socks while exercising, standing or sitting for long amounts of time have improved speed and recovery due to the increase of blood flow, allowing the muscles to recover quicker.
