Physician Guided Medical Weight Loss

Do you want to start losing weight now? Kansas Surgical Arts offers a medically supervised weight loss program to help you start achieving your goals right away.

Our doctors and staff strive to provide excellent patient care in helping you achieve and maintain your ideal weight. Our program offers the advantage of eating everyday store-bought food, so you don’t have to worry about finding and purchasing special food. Our program varies per individual, but we encourage weight loss through calorie restriction and exercise. With this in mind, most programs involve a combination of a prescription medication to suppress your appetite, nutrition counseling, and lipotropic injections to help boost metabolism. Each patient is carefully screened by a Physician prior to receiving the prescription.

Monthly check-ups are required to check your weight and health, refill your prescription, and keep you on track to meet your goals.

This video is Dr. King’s philosophy to weight loss! This is the required video of all patients who are about to meet Dr. King for the first time.

Orbera is a great option for those who want a non-surgical weight loss procedure. No incisions, stitches, or scars. This procedure takes about 20-30 minutes and most people go home the same day. Lose 3x the weight of diet and exercise alone. Orbera helps by taking up room in the stomach which encourages portion control and healthy habits. Designed by Physicians and FDA approved, we are proud to offer this procedure at Kansas Surgical Arts! Lose weight and keep it off. To learn more about Orbera, click here.

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty with the OverStitch™ device is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive procedure. Instead of relying on a large incision used in traditional open surgery, surgeons insert a long, flexible tube into your mouth and down your esophagus. The tube carries durable sutures and special instruments used to perform the procedure. Your surgeon will suture the surrounding area of your stomach, making the opening smaller. They may also suture your stomach pouch to decrease its size and restrict the amount of food it can hold.

An endobariatric procedure helps you reduce the amount of food that you are able to consume, and therefore you are not able to eat or drink as much as you used to at one time. You will lose weight by taking in fewer calories than your body uses in a day. To learn more about the Endoscopic procedure, click here.
